Christine Tsvetanov (aka CT) was born in Bulgaria and immigrated to the United States at age twelve. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences and also holds an MBA. She has over twenty years of experience in the Art, Fashion, and Beauty industries.
Often the woman behind the artist, Christine manages all aspects of the business end with dedication and a great sense of humor. She has planned projects and helped artists realize exhibitions, first as the Director of Operations at American Fine Arts and later as the Managing Director at Mariko Mori Studio. She has coordinated museum exhibitions, both in the United States and internationally, including the interactive installation Wave UFO, which premiered in New York City in 2003 and became part of the permanent collection of the PinchukArtCentre in Kiev, Ukraine.
Christine approaches her role at Whittemore House with her art background in mind. She views the salon the same way she would a gallery: a place to create and exhibit art. As a manager, she is constantly finding ways to turn Victoria and Larry's ideas into reality. After Victoria and Larry conceived of a film about the salon, Christine co-produced it, dealing with the day-to-day tasks involved in getting it made. Beautiful and engaging, the film showcases the salon's hair painting technique and communicates that Whittemore House is a salon like no other. Christine also helped Victoria and Larry with the development of the salon's first candle, which was launched this spring. She looks forward to working on future creative projects with Victoria, Larry, and the Whittemore House team.
