Natural hair color?
What inspired your color change?
Though I currently have another color, my bright red hair during New York fashion week was dyed for a Marc Jacobs campaign. It definitely got a lot of attention on the streets, but I got used to it after a while. Of course, it was quite the change. But I think I learned to own the look as the days went on.
Who's your colorist?
Victoria Hunter at Whittemore House.
How do you keep your color in good condition?
I comb Christophe Robin Masque Au Germe De Blé through my damp hair, keeping it on for ten to fifteen minutes. Next, I brush Christophe Robin Lavender Oil and Crème Lavante Au Citron through, and let that concoction sit for five minutes. I get into the shower, lightly rinse my hair, and get all existing product out of my hair with Purely Perfect Cleansing Creme followed by L'Oréal Paris EverCrème Sulfate-Free Moisture System Intense Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner. I'll finish off by smoothing my hair with the Christophe Robin Masque Antioxidant Cleansing Milk and conditioning it one more time. After the shower, I lightly dry my hair and brush a bit more of the citrus masque and lavender oil through while it's still damp. The final step: Let all the products set, and appreciate the fact that the process is over!
Any tricks for prolonging a dye job?
Wash your hair with cold water every other day, and always remember to use sulfate-free formulas.
