While in New York last week shopping for new leathers for Ellen Allen I had the luxury of having my hair done at Whittemore House Salon.
The Whittemore is owned by Victoria Hunter and Larry Raspanti, the former creative directors of Bumble & Bumble. Occupying the ground floor of one of the city's most storied, and oldest, buildings—built in the 1800s by affluent manufacturer Samuel Whittemore, the former boarding house had infamous tenants like Lincoln assassin John Wilkes Booth, and was a stop on the Underground Railroad. The design, a combination of old mansion and modern elements was very inspiring. What inspires you? Let us know. xo Ellen
