Color Assistant: Whittemore House is a unique salon specializing in progressive techniques and creativity. We are offering apprenticeships that can't be found anywhere else to learn the hair painting technique.

Basic requirements: Hard Work: This job is can be more labor intensive than one might assume and long hours are the norm. You will have to be able to think on your toes, juggle many tasks at once, and give above and beyond customer service.

Skills: We are here to teach you superior craft, so we expect you to have top skills. This position is only for assistants who are serious about their color career.

Flexibility: Your schedule must be flexible. While we may have normal salon hours, we do not have normal client request. We might do anything from last minute wigs for a fashion show to shooting a movie in the salon at the drop of a hat. This is not a 9 to 5 job.

A good attitude: You'll work with a wide variety of personalities and will need good communication skills.
